The Delhi Sultanate sends a seasoned commander, Nawab Khurram Shah, to crush the rebellion. Bheemrao’s small army faces a massive, well-trained cavalry. In a climactic battle, Bheemrao kills both the Zamindar and the Nawab in single combat, but is mortally wounded. He dies knowing he has sowed the seeds of future freedom.
