He was not just a theoretician but an active participant in the scientific community, organizing teaching and research activities, and serving as an engaging lecturer and writer. His work extended beyond the classroom; he was a member of the Serbian-Jewish community and contributed significantly to the scientific and social life of the country. For his immense contribution, the established an award in his name – the “Dr. Nikola Rot” award – given to institutions and organizations for their exceptional promotion of psychological science and the profession. He passed away in Belgrade in 2007 at the age of 97.
