By default, the management ports on the DS3512 controllers are configured to seek a DHCP address. If no DHCP server is present on the network, they revert to the following static fallback IPs: 192.168.128.101 (Subnet: 255.255.255.0 ) Controller B: 192.168.128.102 (Subnet: 255.255.255.0 ) To configure them statically:

Connect Controller A to the In Port of EXP3512 Unit 1 (Left ESM).

Carefully slide the 3.5-inch drive trays into the front slots until the latch clicks shut. Best practice dictates populating drives sequentially from slot 0 through slot 11.

Slide the empty DS3512 enclosure into the rack rails until the front brackets flush against the rack posts. Secure it using the retention screws.
