Disconnect the black/white wire from the CDI module harness. This eliminates the kill switch loop. Check for spark again. If spark returns, your kill switch, ignition key switch, or wiring harness is shorted to ground. Stator Component Testing (Using a Multimeter set to Ohms):
Look for vacuum leaks between the intake manifold boot and the cylinder head using a light spray of brake cleaner while idling. If the idle fluctuates, replace the O-rings. Clutch Slipping or Harsh Shifting
Refill with 800ml of JASO MA 10W-40 oil through the dipstick hole. 152fmh engine service manual
Check for spark, ensure fuel is reaching the bowl by loosening the carburetor drain screw, and check compression by placing a thumb over the spark plug hole while cranking.
Place the top piston ring 10mm into the cylinder bore using the piston to square it. Measure the gap with a feeler gauge. Service limit: 0.50mm . Reassembly & Ring Orientation: Disconnect the black/white wire from the CDI module harness
Loose valves cause loud ticking and power loss. Tight valves prevent proper heat dissipation, leading to burnt valves and compression loss.
Trigger/Pickup Coil Signal (tells CDI when to fire) Green: Chassis Ground If spark returns, your kill switch, ignition key
Remove the dipstick on the right side of the crankcase. Pour in approximately 0.8L of 10W-40 JASO MA2 oil.
